Vlasti

Vlatsi is one of the most picturesque villages of Kozani. It is relatively isolated, at an altitude of 1,180 meters, between the mountains of Askio (Siniatsiko) and Mourikio. It is 52 km. from Kozani and 24 km. from Ptolemais. It was one of the most important villages of Western Macedonia, and today it is inhabited only by a few residents. In the summer the village is "alive" again by the various cultural events that take place there and by the people returning to their place of origin for the holidays. Among the most famous festivals are The Earth Festival, an ecological and cultural festival that takes place in the beginning of each July, and the feast of Virgin Mary every August 15th which lasts three days.
